I love all of the Gromit Unleashed and Shaun In The City Figures as you would have seen from previous posts, my favourite though has to be Sparkles The Unicorn designed by the talented Emily Golden. Sparkles took 27 hours to paint and is covered in a glitter coat to give extra sparkle, as all unicorns should rightly have. You can never have too much sparkle, I often say.
The Wallace and Gromit’s Grand Appeal kindly sent me my very own Sparkles the Unicorn, which I absolutely adore! The colours are so pretty, and stands out from my little collection of Buttercup, Rex and Bagpuss.
The shop doesn’t just do Gromit and Shaun figures, you can also get games, tea towels, mugs, clothing etc. There is a large range of high quality merchandise. We currently have sets of the magnets (I need to order Sparkles set as forgot when placed an order for Rex), Top Trumps, Candy Baa Chocolate Bar, Sparkles mug, coaster, book, Puzzles…
Not only you are getting great items from the online shop or where I go to the Cribbs Causeway shop in Bristol, you are more importantly helping a fantastic charity. The Wallace and Gromit’s Grand Appeal has raised over 31 million pounds for Bristol Children’s Hospital. Sparkles herself raised £25,000 at the auction of the trail figures last year, and was brought by a father for his daughter.
