For the first time for a while, me and Rowan went shopping. I normally just order online, but for a change we went to the town centre. Moving near a town has been amazing for us, as everything is nearby. The closest town centre being Swindon is only less than 10 mins away. Keep reading to find what I brought in my mini shopping haul.
I originally went as needed the last few bits for a special friends birthday. So after school run, we set off. Firstly taking the obligatory selfies and filming part of my Instagram Story, describing our outing. Then I popped into Sainsbury’s for some baking essentials. I had planned to grab a water bottle, as part of my diet I need to drink more water. I found on offer a Brita Fill & Go Bottle. The bottle is quite large and filters water on the go. I brought the pink version obviously. I am planning on taking this on school run, drink throughout the day, take to work. I may even make some detox flavoured water.
I had another sleepless night and was up at 4am, but for some reason had a super clear head. Organisational ideas was oozing out of me for being productive. I have a planner which is like my bible. But this is a tad on the larger side and hard to carry around. So I came up with the idea of a Bullet Journal. I can carry it round and log daily tasks and little things like water intake. Then keep my main planner for main planning. So my next stop was W H Smith. I originally wanted a dot paper journal, but couldn’t see one anywhere and I am extremely impatient. I found a lovely deep purple Moleskin Journal. Also I found a copy of Mollie Makes craft magazine, which has a super cute kawaii crochet sunbeam which I will be attempting when my materials arrive. I also got some Triplus Fineliners in black. These are great for outlining, and from my millions of pens these were an essential. Also I can use these in my Bullet Journal. Since I have felt with the journal being lined paper, I need the dots for what I want to do. I have ordered a book of Amazon and will keep this notebook for notes.
Whilst in W H Smiths, I had a mooch round the book section. Both kiddies love reading, which i try and encourage. And as myself and Josie-Ann are obsessed (I admit we are totally obsessed) with Beauty and The Beast, I brought Josie a book from the film. Josie is just getting into reading proper books and is currently working her way through ‘George’s Marvellous Medicine’ by Roald Dahl. As the book had an offer of Buy one Get One Half Price, I spotted Beauty and The Beast ‘Lost In A Book’ which is a spin off from the film. So I purchased this for myself and will start this straight away. For Rowan he had a big boy (paperback) toddler version of Paw Patrol.
The we popped into Primark. I love their Disney collections, and their prices. My favourite Primark is Cabots Circus in Bristol as the shop is huge! The Swindon one is ok in size, but not as massive. Nether less to say, I still managed to find some right corkers. For myself (pictured above) I brought 2 t-shirts, one being a stripey top with magneta stars. The other is my favourite and is a Little Mermaid top. I also brought Josie this as knew she would love it as much as me. I also brought a Little Mermaid nightie, saying 100% Mermaid. Most importantly, I brought a fantastic new blog prop which has amused my mum. I have a little cactus, which has brightened up my haul photos to no end.
Next I brought Josie some tops. She has really shot up recently and is short of clothes. Rowan has tons so was fine for shopping today. I brought Josie-Ann size 6 in adult for a change. They are not too big, but big enough that they will last a year or so.
I firstly came across Josie’s favourite style of tops…..changing sequins. Not only that, the top is My Little Pony. She was over the moon and I am officially an awesome mummy! Next I found a pretty mermaid shell top. Josie loves rainbow colours, that other than pink is her favourite colour if you ask her. So knew she would like this. Then she is in the need for a new nightie too, so i found this cute unicorn emoji style nightie. Josie is proudly sporting this to bed tonight. I was chuffed that my Primark shop ( I had some other items that I can’t show for birthday reasons) only came to £34. Bargain!
Have you had a recent shopping haul? Would you get any of the same items?
