Art For Kids Hub -Drawing Activities

One of mine and my daughters favourite activities to do together is drawing, either we both just draw using our imagination, or we copy each other. Sometimes we both take turns to draw a page of pictures and the other has to write the names of the pictures, which helps with spellings.

After Josie was teaching me how to draw an elephant, I announced I had to go and cook dinner, which came the whinging of Josie still wanting to play. So I got the IPad and went on youtube, I started of typing ‘Children How To Draw A Giraffe’ and the top result was from Art Hub For Kids.

Rob and his little helpers, explain how to draw pictures beautifully, and also make it fun to watch. Everything is explained in detail, but at the same time the videos are not too long for the children to lose interest. Within 10 minutes, Josie came running in with her masterpiece, a giraffe! She was so excited that she had learnt herself from watching Rob on Art For Kids Hub. This excitement went on after dinner to also draw a seahorse and an owl. Josie absolutely loved surprising us with her pictures, and was even more happy she did not need any help.

I was personally amazed how good the pictures was, normally Josie has a tendency to get annoyed if a picture doesn’t look good, but she was just filled with excitement doing these tutorials. Since writing this blog Josie has also drawn a rhino, rattlesnake, koala, alligator, poodle…. Now we have spotted Rob has Frozen and My Little Pony tutorials too, off the husband goes for more paper. In the meantime see my Facebook Page for a video of Josie in action.
